Pre Easter

Almost Easter... We will have our first Easter egg hunt in this house tomorrow. I'm kind of excited! This house has a great back yard for an egg hunt. Dallan has been so fun. We made his invitations for his birthday party today. They turned out so good. I will take a pic. He planned his whole party. He's like his brother Kade. Knows how to do it right. We will be going to anti-gravity and then back to the house for pinatas and cake. We will be making a crown for the piƱata person, too. Can't believe he' ll be seven!
So it's 9:25 and the only kid home is Dallan. Brin is with her Santa Clara Friends. Meg is at Kelsies. Kade is in the old neighborhood prob playing night games. Bridge is with Tyce. Adam just asked if maybe we should be going to get someone. Umm yea I guess we should be getting them home. Big day tomorrow:

1. Get house ready for the Easter Egg Hunt.
2. Take the girls shopping for Easter Dresses.
3. Go see Paige's Baby that will hopefully become her own!
4. Buy Kade a couple of white dress shirts because he is a deacon now.
5. Finish passing out Dallans party invites.
6. Maybe find an Easter dress of my own..

Not so proud moments

IMG_0478

Have you ever opened your fridge to see this?

Apparently Dallan dropped the milk and it’s a miracle it didn’t explode.

Yesterday started out great. I woke up early, went for a bike ride, showered, did a load of laundry and got the kids off to school, all before 8:30. I was so excited to get some projects done. Then my phone beeped to remind me of a dentist appt I had made a month ago. Ugh.

At least I was ready for the day, so off I went.

3 hours later, a sore tooth and 400 dollars less in the bank. Tooth repairs make me so angry. Paying exhorbant amounts of money to be uncomfortable.

Needless to say, by afternoon I was was still sore, tired and cranky. Which unfortunately led to snapping at Adam for no good reason. I hate when I do that. I REALLY try hard not to do that. Its so immature and bratty.

So today I guess I must make up for it.  So far I have cleaned the trash out of his truck. And when he comes home tonight, I will have a yummy dinner waiting for him.

I am so proud of him. He has lost several pounds in the the last month, just by eating better and exercising. He has the self-discipline of nobody I have ever seen. He looks so good right now.

Dally and Mr. Fox

Dally hates shower day. Frankly... So do I. It is such a battle trying to get the boys to stop what they are doing and get into the shower. Ever since Dally accidentally got soap in his eyes.... a horrible experience of pain and stinging like he'd never felt before.... he absolutely DREADS going into that awful place. Granted it has been at least two years since the incident.

***********************

Soooo.... the other night I started the shower and went looking for him. "Dally, where are you?" No Dally. Nothing new. Pretty soon I could hear this high pitched voice saying "Dally isn't here. I'm Mr. Fox." What the??? I look over to see Mr. Fox peeking up from behind the chair. "Hello", he says, "I'm Mr. Fox!"

Mr. Fox had to go with us everywhere the next day. Including Preschool. Sorry Ms. Jani! O how I love age 5. I will so miss you next year...

The other day I was hurrying to get Bridger to Kindergarten.

Bridger: But Mom I don't have a bustle, so can I use yours?
