Have you eaten as much as I have eaten in the past two days? If only I had the energy of these ones........

Love
Such a sweet love story. A person could only hope for the life of Grandma and Grandpa. The love they had. Together for so long. 72 years to be exact. Never apart. Always together. And then the music. There was always music to be sung and played. Those were my favorite times.
So many mixed emotions as we left Grandpa’s funeral. Visiting with family we haven’t seen for so long. Feeling so grateful for them. The Spirit was so strong, you could not deny it.
The stories and memories shared by mom, dad and the rest of Grandpa’s sweet legacy he has left behind him. So much love. So much love.
Just went through a major storm just past Fillmore. It's amazing to me how it can be so white for about 30 minutes and then be clear as a bell. Wow.
I have a feeling we are being watched over right now as we drive home from Salt Lake..
Dally and Bridger are in the very back of the car oblivious to the danger we were just in. Earlier they complained.. “ but why to we always have to sit in the very back where we just get SO carsick!” Each of them have yet to throw up.
They are pants-less because of the snowball fight at the gas station we all had just before we got on the road. We keep hearing them laugh as one tries to expose the other by pulling the blankets off just as a car passes by.
Meg is content to sit and decorate her phone with tin foil from gum wrappers. I realize now why she has asked me for a new piece of gum about every five minutes.
Brinley is happy to just fall asleep while listening to ear phones. I don’t know why she isn’t satisfied with the only radio station we have left, which lucky for me just happens to be country.
Kade sits between them. Probably cold from the snow-soaked pants he is still wearing. The panic he had in his eyes as we were going through the snowstorm is now gone, thank heavens. A trait picked up from my side of the family, no doubt.
Adam is driving. Adam is always driving. Lucky for me. I wonder if his eye is still stinging from the snowball Zane threw.
He takes such good care of us. I am so grateful for him. He has been so good to me this weekend.
Dad just called. They were about 30 minutes behind us and are now stuck in the storm. There was an accident and traffic has stopped. They only have their little car. He is worried they won’t make it up the hill. They might have to jump in with Brandon and Heather, just to make it home. Jill only has her little car, too. What will she do? I can’t believe we made it through by just minutes.
Last night we went to Trolley Square. The little boys were so fascinated with the elevators and escalators. Something I took for granted when I grew up. I didn’t realize that it was something they never see in our town. All they wanted to do was go up and down, up and down.
We ate at the Old Spaghetti Factory. It was so yum. Then we had old fashioned taffy from the Candy Store.
Dad got us rooms at the Marriot uptown. We were on the 10th floor in a suite on the corner. The kids favorite spot was in the window seat that overlooked the city. So beautiful. It snowed last night and left everything white. Another thing the kids don’t see that often. “Please can we make a snowman?” Dally kept pleading with me. Unfortunately the snow brings with it the cold. Something we were definitely not equipped for.
I’m worried about my family behind us. We are now almost home. We might have to get the truck and head back to get them. Grandpa would probably love this. Dad said he always loved adventure. Getting stuck in the mountains in the mud etc...during the deer hunt.
I will miss Grandpa so much. It was less than a month ago that I was able to have the best visit with him. At their little house on Lehi Drive. I will really miss going to that house to see them. So many memories there.
I will never forget the spirit I felt this weekend. So much love mixed with the grace of the gospel. Grandpa was such an example to me. He blessed me. He baptized me. I will always be grateful for that. I know he is watching over us now. Especially Grandma. I know he will continue to take care of her, as he always has. He is the sweetest man I’ll ever know.
Loves and of course, 3 kisses, to you Grandpa.

Boy Talk
The other day I was sending the boys off to school and I said to them teasingly “Don’t forget to tell your teachers they look pretty today!”
Bridger just gave me a look that said, Mom you’re an idiot.
Dally said “ Yea, cuz my teacher is skinny. And her have little dots!
I’m assuming he is talking about her freckles.

Birthday Girls
My firstborn bAby is driving!!
Look out everyone, Dally says as we leave the DMV with Brinley in the driver’s seat, “We’re all gunna die!!!!!”
She looks so cute behind the wheel, her short little self! Barely able to see above it! We can’t help but laugh our guts out. Whether in fear or humor I don’t know. Adam is her teacher thank heavens, I could not do it without having several panic attacks along the way. He is so cute with her and so patient as he grabs the wheel before she rams the car next to us!
I DO know that I have discovered not so fun things in my new seat in the back of the car, though. Need I mention slobbery sunflower seeds and crumbly cupcake remnants. Ewwwwww!
Oooo so much to do these days…..is there really? Or am I just lazy? The laundry just doesn’t seem to dissappear! Go away laundry, I just want to play. I want to go outside to my money tree and pick off several hundreds and then go shopping for a new sofa and kitchen table. Then I want to rip up my carpet in the hallway and replace it with shiny hardwood floors.
It is good to dream isn’t it?
