Have you seen The Middle? The Mother's Day Episode? Where she flashes back to his Father's Day, just to show the contrast between the two? Her's being crappy and his being pure bliss? I really wanted Adam's to be pure bliss, only because he really does go all out for me. Mother's Day, Birthday, Christmas, you name it. He's always gone the extra mile. One Christmas in particular, he had the flu. He was so sick he actually passed out on the stairs on Christmas Eve. YET...... he managed to wake up before anyone the next morning just to bring in my Heavy Christmas present (Our King Size Bed ) so that I would be surprised. I will never forget that. I really won't. He LOVES to surprise me. It started with my engagement ring and has gone on from there....

So----- We started with Breakfast in Bed. Biscuits and Gravy, two sides of bacon
and eggs over-easy, just how he likes them. O and diet coke. Great for his cholesterol levels. (Oatmeal from now on.)

Then the kids gave them his gifts.... Brinley gave him a coupon book she made herself.
Such as... I'll get you a coke and I won't talk so much for a day!
Meg gave him a book she made with pictures and descriptions of things she loves about him. She even ended it by saying..."I fricken love ya!" (Should I question that?)

The boys gave him flip flops.

Take one of me doing bunny ears!

Get me doing this!

Afterwards we gave him a couple of hours to himself in the peace and quiet of the house.
(He used it to mow the lawn and weed the planters.)
We had Liliana's Tacos after church of course and then grilled steaks on the
barbecue for dinner. (His favorite)
It was a very relaxing day, I think. I know he treasures every minute before he has to go back to work on Monday. I know this because he tells me.... At least 5 times every Sunday.
I love you, Adam. Happy Father's Day....I only wish I could have gotten you this.
