He took me to the quaint little town of Springville. He remembered me saying that I would like to go there once.
He bought me almond toffee from the homemade candy place. He also bought me fish tacos from an authentic mexican restaurant that had an outspoken host who yelled at his waiters. But the onery host made up for it when he sat us at a table for two in the courtyard under a giant old tree. Adam loved that tree.
Next we went to see a movie that was projected on the world’s biggest screen where we ate popcorn and smuggled in charleston chews. Afterwards we slept in a cozy room that had a back door and patio with faded green adirondack chairs for us to sit in. WHen we had to leave it was way……… too……….soon.
He had patience with me when I set the timer on the camera in order to get a good picture of us facing the wrong way. He also gave me a present and the day off from the kitchen once we got home the next day.
And lastly but not leastly thanks to his ruggedly handsome tan skin he made me look pale as a ghost in the great picture we took below. I Love Him. And I love this day.
