Hello everyone. We had the best Christmas ever. Dallan has been playing with his r/c monster truck for 2 days straight! We just eat and chill. Eat and chill. With r/c helicopters flying over our heads. Love it. I love that Dallan is still 6 and loves to play with toys. I love his excitement when he opens a present. I loved it when he started to freak out and cry on Christmas eve night because he was worried Santa was going to come and he wasn't in bed yet. He set the cookies out in record time. And practically ran up the stairs.
Brinley is in a state of bliss. She finally got her first car. The one she has always wanted. A Volkswagen Beetle. Silver. The deal was- we pay half, she pays half. She is seriously over the moon. Surprising her with it was the funnest thing I ever did.
Kade got his first cellphone. Begged and begged for months. He doesn't even care that it is Grandpa's old cellphone! It works! He also got a skim board. I think he is happy.
Bridger could never figure out what he wanted until the very last minute. I want a scooter, mom. He told me on Christmas Eve night. Wha??? But he was content with the x box game he received. Both him and Dal got karate uniforms, too. He kept saying "Thanks mom and dad!" several times throughout the day.
Meg. Meg. Always the specific one. Had to have a laptop. When she didn't get it, she made a trade with me for mine. Business as usual.
I am so content. I love my kids ages. They are so easy right now. I know I have to treasure this. I know it won't last long. Brinley has yet to have her first kiss. Meg can't drive yet, so she can't just take off without me! I love them so much. My new years resolution will be to be a better mother. I have so many things I can work on! We have a lot of changes coming up. I dread them but welcome them, too. I'm ready for you 2012. Be nice..
