Sooooo I wasn't kidding when I said I wanted to get into the pastry thing. Yesterday was my first dip into the fondant world. Cake Boss uses a lot of fondant and makes it looks so easy.
I decided to make a book. Square. Simple. Back To School Theme.
I then called upon my super handsome assistant to help me with the buttercream.
We nailed it. Click Here for the best flippin buttercream you ever tasted.
Then we got to work on the fondant.
Rolling it out was n o t s o e a s y.........


Once we figured it out and the fondant was done, he then bid me good-bye and
let me work on my own.....
About 552 hours and 39 minutes later, my book was complete..
No, not really that long. But definitely most of the day. It was so fun, though. The binder is supposed be of a paisley texture in case you were wondering. Ha ha.
I really do want to do more.....
If only I could have my personal pastry chef expert come over and train me during my long days of nothing to do but make cupcakes and cake bites and cream puffs and eclairs..........
More experiments to come.
