Wow.. so many things going on right now. Trying to get the kids ready to start school, etc.
We j u s t g o t u s e d to Summer.
We are all going to be in shock when we have to get up early. Ugh!
Took Brinley, Meg and Kade shopping for school clothes in Vegas the other day. So fun. Kade is growing up so fast. He takes great pride in how he dresses. In a good way. I have always loved taking him shopping. Even when he was small, he had such great taste in clothes! Lately he has been going to work with Adam and learning the ropes so it was fun to spend time with him! He is my one child who inherited good work ethics from his Pa. He thrives on working hard. It’s in his blood. Especially physical labor. Literally can’t get enough of it. Can pretty much do what all the other crew members can do. Can keep up with them, too. I know. I watched him one day. So fascinating to me. Love that boy.
Secret to shopping for school clothes for 5 kids on limited funds? One store….H&M. Fun. My favorite item? The denims.
I also loved shopping at Sephora. Did you know they sell deodorant? I forgot to wear mine so I went there first to get some. Ha Ha…it’s my new favorite. It’s Donna Karen Cashmere Mist. Great Stuff. Even better if you apply Certain Dri the night before. Yea, I live in the desert. Sweat is my friend.
Meggy is V E R Y selective when she shops. She only buys what she LOVES. Which is great because she will wear it out til it’s in shreds. She’d rather spend her money on a few really good quality items, than several cheap ones. Not a bad habit, I guess.
Brinley just has great style. She takes after her Aunt Linds and her Grandma. I can see her as a make-up artist or Hairstylist someday.
I love my kids. I will miss them when they go back to school. I love the sound of busyness in the house. Eating, talking, laughing, playing. I like when there is a lot going on. I Am looking forward to Dally and me time again, though. And the few hours when I can turn everything off and catch my breath. But I will miss them much.
Sheesh I have really rambled on. But I have to share pics of our most recent trip to Provo to see my all-time favorite singer. Mindy Gledhill. She is amazing. If you haven’t ever listened to her, you must. It will make your day, I promise. I discovered her about 3 years ago through her LDS music, which is fantastic. But her new CD is different. So much fun, too. We had the funnest time. My mom, sister, my girls and their friends, and my cousins I hadn’t seen in a while. (Thank you for coming by the way!) We laUGhed harder than I have in a long time! I’m talking PYP laughing. If you know what I mean….
