Summer Dinners

Dinner Table

Basically our dinners in the summer consist of Papa Murphy’s Gourmet Veggie Pizza (if you haven’t tried it, you must) or the kids fav--  Hungry Howies Cheese pizza and Cinnamon Sticks.

But……….if we aren’t being fancy, we make it simple:

1. I make the side dish, or steam the veggies.

2. Adam grills the meat on the barb.

Easy Peezy Lemon Squeezy.

Last night we had this:

cherries

Freshly picked cherries from Harmon’s----other than Costco, they have the best produce, you know. I must tell you, though, I wasn’t aware of the expensive price until after I checked out. I’m eating them as I type.

EVERY cherry WILL be eaten……maybe even the stems…..

Salad

Cucumber, carrot, red onion, red pepper, cherry tomato, crumbled goat cheese and mixed greens. Topped with your favorite dressing. With my kids, it’s ranch. We like the “Wild Coyote Brand.” Adam likes Catalina.

French Bread

Plain old fashioned french bread. Yum.

Fish Sticks

Fish Sticks for the kids……..

Grilled Salmon

Grilled Salmon for us.  So good with just butter, salt and pepper.  Okay, maybe Brin can have some, too.

As we were preparing it, I said “Adam, I really want to get good at taking pictures of food. There’s got to be some tricks.

He said….  “I don’t know, Jo, why don’t you just work on learning how to cook it first.”

Ha ha ha ha.

Nice.
